Ozone Transfer Standards. Ozone certification must provide traceability to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards. To that end, before use in the ambient monitoring network, the Local Agency must ensure that its new ozone primary standards have undergone a three-day certification to the state standard, which has been compared to the EPA standard reference photometer (Level 1).
