Parent/Guardian Responsibilities. Your student is being issued a Chromebook to improve and personalize his/her education this year. It is essential that the following guidelines be followed to ensure the safe, efficient, and ethical operation of this device. In order for your student to take the device home each night, the parent/guardian must be willing to accept these responsibilities: ● My student and I will sign and return the Chromebook User Agreement, participate in the Chromebook Protection Plan by paying a non refundable $20 to Red Clay Consolidated School District prior to the device being issued. ● We will discuss at home the acceptable and unacceptable uses of the device according to district policies. ● I understand that district officials have the ability to monitor my child’s use of the device AT ALL TIMES IN AND OUT OF SCHOOL and that communications, files, internet search activities, and any other actions using the device are not considered to be private.
