Common use of Parental Leave for the Birth Father Clause in Contracts

Parental Leave for the Birth Father. An employee who is the birth father of a newborn child is entitled to thirty-seven (37) consecutive weeks of parental leave without pay, from the University. Parental leave may begin any time between the child’s birth and 52 weeks after the event. The employee must apply for parental leave in writing to their supervisor at least four (4) weeks prior to the start date of the parental leave.
