Pay adjustments upon promotion. The base pay of a newly promoted employee will be at least two (2) step increases or a minimum of six percent (6%) higher than their base pay in the lower classification provided however, that the salary shall not exceed the top of the pay range as a result of the promotion. Regular employees working out of class or that were placed in a temporary position prior to promotion will receive their pay increase based on their regular position’s pay rate at the time of promotion.
