Pay Decrease as a Result of Disciplinary Action. 1. The pay of an employee may be temporarily decreased to a lower step within the pay range established for the classification. 2. The temporary reduction in salary step shall in no event exceed the monetary equivalent of a two-hundred and forty (240) hour suspension without pay.
