Pay Step Advancement Date. On the employee's "anniversary date" (normally the employee's seniority date (unless the employee has they have been promoted, on leave leave, suspended, or layoff) each year, the employee they will be advanced to the next step of their classification the grade provided their performance has been rated satisfactory. If the performance is rated conditional, so as not to provide a merit increase, the employee will be rated in three (3) months to determine if the performance is satisfactory.
