Payment of PTO Benefits. PTO is paid at 100 percent of employee’s base rate of pay up to a maximum of 40 hours per work week. PTO benefits become payable when an employee is away from work due to: • Vacation; • Health care appointments or employee non-occupational illness or injury for up to 40 work hours; • Family illness or injury; • Other personal time off.
