Additional Time Off. If additional time off is necessary due to the death of a family member, arrangements may be made to permit the employee to use Personal Time or take time off without pay.
Additional Time Off. Full-time graduate student employees except those in the Division of Continuing Education’s summer or winter sessions shall accrue personal leave at a rate of twenty-four (24) hours per semester or seventeen (17) hours per 14-week summer session, any or all of which, may be used at the graduate student employee’s discretion for days of religious or cultural observance. For graduate student employees who are appointed more or less than full-time, this leave shall be pro-rated on the basis of the percentage of appointment. Personal leave time can not be carried over beyond the academic year or the summer session in which it is earned. Personal leave used for non- emergency reasons shall be requested in advance and scheduled at the discretion of the department head. If personal leave is used for emergencies (including illness), the graduate student employee shall notify the department head as soon as possible.
Additional Time Off. Additional time off with or without pay may be granted at the Company's discretion, but any such decision by the Company to grant or deny any such time off shall not be subject to grievance or arbitration nor considered as precedent for any subsequent decision.
Additional Time Off. Additional time off without pay, or vacation, if available and approved in advance of use, shall be granted as may reasonably be required under individual demonstrated circumstances.
Additional Time Off. In addition to the holidays listed above, all full-time employees shall be entitled to time off with pay or compensatory time off with pay as follows:
(a) Forty (40) additional hours to be selected by the employee subject to department head approval.
Additional Time Off. 3.1 If an employee requests more time off than what they are eligible for (section 2.6), then their request should be considered on an individual basis, using the same criteria outlined in section 2.4.
3.2 If an employee’s request is for more than 30 calendar days, the Supervisor will forward the request and background information with a recommendation to the Manager who will review the recommendation with the Director.
3.3 The accumulation of seniority shall be in accordance with the terms of the collective agreement.
Additional Time Off. Additional time off, if required, may be provided by WCB coverage or sick leave.
Additional Time Off. Teachers will be allowed additional time off with pay when their reasons are considered valid by the school principal and superintendent or Committee. Whenever possible, application must be made not less than two (2) weeks in advance.
Additional Time Off. Additional administrative time off may be granted at the sole discretion of the Director or by his/her designee.
Additional Time Off. If requested, up to forty (40) additional work hours off may be granted at the discretion of the Company upon request of the employee. Such a request shall not be unreasonably denied. The employee may use available or advanced PTO in lieu of time off without pay.
