Peer Mentor Intervention. 1. Peer Mentor intervention shall be undertaken by a Department Peer Mentor Committee based upon performance concerns arising from: (a) Student Evaluation of Faculty forms, (b) Faculty Self-evaluation forms, (c) concerns regarding student attrition rates as assessed by the Peer Mentor Committee, (d) concerns forwarded to the Peer Mentor Committee regarding student performance in subsequent courses by Department colleagues, and (e) other concerns which may be forwarded to the Peer Mentor Committee by the College Administration and found by the Committee to have merit. Peer Mentor Committee intervention shall take place only after consultation with teacher; review, when possible, of the academic standing of respondents to the Student Evaluation of Faculty forms; and Committee observation of the teacher’s performance.
