People and Communities. The MBDS Network serves the region both by empowering health workers and by preventing the spread of disease throughout the general population. Each implementation site features a border health team of between five to seven public health workers, border control and immigration officers, and community members. The MBDS Network demonstrates and supports mechanisms for multicountry collaboration and response at two levels: subregional, and provincial/cross-border. Four demonstration sites comprise cross-border collaboration, with Laos at the geographic center of the region (see Table 2 in Appendix). While neither Thailand and Vietnam nor Cambodia and China share common borders, they do share information, strategies, and experiences through the national-level MBDS coordination mechanisms.

People and Communities. People and Communities are at the core of this document and therefore the measures relating to BME groups, young people, accessibility, ageing population and workforce, Gypsies and Travellers and the like have been imbedded within the Spatial and Thematic investments proposed throughout this LIP. However it should be noted that due to concurrent preparation, development and completion time frames the contents and recommendations of the recently completed county wide assessment of support needs and the Suffolk Supporting People annual plan have not been fully considered or encompassed within this issue of the LIP. Where appropriate further comment and amendments to the proposals contained within this LIP will be included in the first annual review.

  • SECTION 109 OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974 The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. No person in the United States shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity funded in whole or in part with funds made available under this title. Section 109 further provides that discrimination on the basis of age under the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 or with respect to an otherwise qualified handicapped individual as provided in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, is prohibited.

  • Management; Community Policies Owner may retain employees and management agents from time to time to manage the Property, and Owner’s agent may retain other employees or contractors. Resident, on behalf of himself or herself and his or her Guests, agrees to comply fully with all directions from Owner and its employees and agents, and the rules and regulations (including all amendments and additions thereto, except those that substantially modify the Resident’s bargain and to which Resident timely objects) as contained in this Agreement and the Community Policies of the Property. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation.   • Association Communications The Association will have the right to place official notices, circulars and other professional materials in teachers' mailboxes.

  • Department of Health and Human Services An employee notified of a positive controlled substance or alcohol test result may request an independent test of their split sample at the employee’s expense. If the test result is negative, the Employer will reimburse the employee for the cost of the split sample test. An employee who has a positive alcohol test and/or a positive controlled substance test may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, based on the incident that prompted the testing, including a violation of the drug and alcohol free work place rules.

  • EMPLOYEE HEALTH CARE 233. Pursuant to the Charter, the City contributes whatever rate is applicable per month directly into the City Health Service System for each employee who is a member of the Health Service System. Subsequent City contributions will be set pursuant to the Charter.

  • Community Development 1. Support the mission of Residence Life & Housing in building a strong community on all levels.
