Permanent Increase in Hours. When additional hours are assigned to a part-time position on a regular basis, the assignment shall be offered to any employee who is on the re- employment list with an entitlement to increased hours in the classification in which the additional hours are needed. If there is not an employee with a legal entitlement to increased hours in the class, the additional hours shall be offered to the employee in the appropriate class with the greatest hire date seniority on a work site basis. If the senior employee declines the assignment, it shall be offered to the remaining employees in the class at that work site in descending order of hire-date seniority until the assignment is made. 20.4.1 Any bargaining unit member who works in excess of an average of 30 minutes or more per day within his/her regular part-time assignment for a period of 20 consecutive days or more shall have his/her assignment adjusted upward to reflect longer hours, effective with the next pay period.
