Increase in Hours. When additional hours are assigned to a part-time position on a regular basis, the assignment shall be offered to the employee in the appropriate class with the greatest bargaining unit seniority. If the senior employee declines the assignment, it shall be offered to the remaining employees in the class in descending order of bargaining unit seniority until the assignment is made.

Increase in Hours. When additional hours are assigned to a part-time position on a regular basis, all unit members currently assigned to that class shall have the opportunity to apply for the position. The District shall notify sites and departments when additional hour assignments become available.
Increase in Hours. When a position held by a regular part-time employee is increased in hours it shall not become a new position and when a part-time position is increased in hours the incumbent shall accept the position of the total hours, or the job shall be posted. Also, where there is an increase in hours or personnel which created an upgrading to a higher classification, the position shall be posted.

Increase in Hours. (a) The District agrees that it will attempt to create meaningful jobs for its employees so that current continuing part-time employees will achieve where possible and practical, full-time hours. (b) New hours (continuing or temporary) that become available in a school/location during a school year shall be assigned without posting to employees in the school/location on the basis of qualifications, seniority, classifications, and scheduling requirements of the school/location. It is understood that every effort shall be made to increase continuing hours for continuing employees. (c) Any continuing position for employees governed by Appendix “A” that becomes full-time during a school year and is required in the following school year and has been increased by six (6) hours or more per week in the school year must be posted as a continuing full-time position for the next school year.
Increase in Hours. 3.8.1 A part-time position within the bargaining unit may be increased by up to one hour if such additional hours are part of that position’s assigned duties. 3.8.2 An increase of hours, short term or permanent, must be offered on-site/department prior to being posted. On-site/department employees will be given consideration before posting within or outside the District per Article 9.1. 3.8.3 Instructional aides (all types and classifications) will be notified of their daily base hours by the personnel department at the beginning of each school year. In the event that an employee’s daily hours are temporarily increased up to one hour above the base level, they may be reduced back to the base level during or at the conclusion of the school year.

Increase in Hours. 12.5.1 When an existing part-time position is authorized a permanent increase in time by the District, which increases the position by 30 minutes or less, the permanent increase shall be offered to the current incumbent. When the District authorizes a permanent increase in time for a part-time position and permanent increase in the position is more than 30 minutes, the position shall be declared vacant and posted for transfer or reassignment. Also, in the event the permanent increase in time qualifies the position for District-paid health and welfare benefits, the position shall automatically be declared vacant and posted for transfer or reassignment. All unit members in the classification shall be afforded the opportunity to apply for the position, subject to restrictions on voluntary transfers and reassignments set forth in this Article.
Increase in Hours. A permanent position that has its schedule permanently increased by five (5) or more hours per week, shall be deemed a vacancy and shall be posted as per the provisions of this article.
