Permanent Reduction Of Hours. (a) A permanent full-time or part-time Employee, may voluntarily reduce her hours of work provided they are not on probation or trial, or in a temporary position. The request may be approved subject to operational considerations. (b) Any Employee wishing to make such a request shall do so in writing to the Employer, giving at least twenty-eight (28) days notice prior to the time at which reduction is requested. The Employer shall provide the Employee with written reasons if a request for a reduction of hours is denied. (c) The assignment of hours made available shall be according to Article 21.
