Common use of Personal Obligation Days Clause in Contracts

Personal Obligation Days. A teacher will have access to up to two (2) days per school year. These days will not be charged against sick leave. They are non-cumulative. These days will be granted through the approval of the immediate supervisor. Part-time teachers will have access to a pro-rated amount of time. These days cannot be scheduled on the school days before or after a break (March, Christmas and Summer) or before or after a Statutory holiday. Requests to be absent should not conflict with student evaluation and reporting periods, professional activity days nor with the start up/end of a school term. Personal Obligation Days shall not be combined with a request for unpaid leaves of absences.
