Common use of Personal Services Contracts Clause in Contracts

Personal Services Contracts. 94 a. Departments shall notify the Union of proposed personal services contracts where such services could potentially be performed by represented classifications. Such notification shall occur no later than the date a department sends out requests for proposals. 95 b. If the Union wishes to meet with a department over a proposed personal services contract, the request must be made by the Union to the Human Resources Director with a copy forwarded to the appropriate department within two weeks after the receipt of notice by the Department. 96 c. Discussions shall include, but not be limited to, possible alternatives to contracting or subcontracting and whether the department staff has the expertise and/or facilities to perform the work. Upon request by the Union, the City shall make available for inspection any and all pertinent background and/or documentation relating to the service contemplated to be contracted out.
