JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 5.01 A Joint Advisory Committee shall operate during the term of this agreement consisting of one (1) employee representative from each location and up to an equal number of employer representatives who shall meet at least once every six (6) months to discuss working conditions, economy of operation, quality and quantity of service, safety and health, workplace stress, violence and abuse prevention, and other matters to promote an ongoing harmonious relationship between the Employer and its employees. The Joint Advisory Committee shall meet at the request of either party. The full-time Union Representative may attend said meetings. All time spent attending Joint Advisory Committee meetings by employees shall be considered time worked but time spent at “pre-meetings” will not be considered time worked.
JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 15. U.A. Local 38 and the signatories to the Consolidated Crafts Agreement (collectively "the Unions") may, at their option, cause the establishment of a Joint Advisory Committee (Joint Committee) consisting of one member appointed by U.A. Local 38, one member appointed by the signatories to the Consolidated Crafts Agreement, and two members appointed by the City’s Employee Relations Director, which shall review and attempt to resolve grievances and other matters of concern including, but not limited to, the uniformity of interpretation of this Agreement. The Joint Committee may issue unanimous advisory non-binding opinions; however, nothing in this section shall authorize the Joint Committee to take any action that would bind either the Unions or the City. Any unanimous advisory non-binding opinion issued by the Joint Committee shall not be used by either party in any arbitration proceeding conducted under this Agreement or in any other adversary proceeding. No written opinions may be issued by the Joint Committee without the unanimous support of all four members. The Joint Committee shall calendar no less than four meetings per year on a quarterly basis.
JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 5.01 A Joint Advisory Committee shall operate during the term of this Agreement consisting of four (4) employee representatives and up to an equal number of Employer representatives. The Committee shall meet every three (3) months to discuss working conditions, quality of service and other matters to promote an ongoing harmonious relationship between the Employer and its employees. The full-time Union Representative(s) may attend meetings. All time spent attending Joint Advisory Committee meetings by employees shall be considered time worked. Meetings shall normally be scheduled for one (1) hour but if circumstances dictate may last longer.
JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. The membership of the Joint Advisory Committee will include the Superintendent of Schools, or his/her designee, the Assistant Superintendent of Schools, another administrator, and no more than three unit members from the Association. The parties will meet on an “as needed” basis to discuss matters of mutual concern. Arrangements for such meetings shall be made in advance and shall be held at reasonable hours as mutually agreed upon by the parties. When possible, items for discussion will be submitted at least five days in advance in order to facilitate information gathering and efficient meetings.
JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. Within thirty (30) days of the Effective Date, Xxxxxxx and PPD shall assemble a JAC. Initially, the JAC will be composed of at least two, but no more than four, representatives of each Party, with an equal number appointed by each of Xxxxxxx and PPD. Each Party shall provide a list of its representatives to the other Party within thirty (30) days after the Effective Date. Each Party will promptly notify the other Party in writing of any change in its appointed representatives. The chairperson of the JAC will be one of PPD’s representatives selected by PPD.

Each committee shall consist of up to two (2) employee representatives and two (2) Employer representatives from each Region who shall meet at least quarterly to discuss working conditions, economy of operation, quality and quantity of service, safety and health, workplace stress, violence and abuse prevention, and other matters to promote an ongoing harmonious relationship between the Employer and its employees. The Joint Advisory Committee shall meet at the request of either party. The full-time Union Representative may attend said meetings. All time spent attending Joint Advisory Committee meetings by employees shall be considered time worked but time spent at “pre-meetings” will not be considered time worked.
JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
A. The JAC shall be comprised of three (3) members of the City Council and two (2) members of the Port Commission. At a minimum, the JAC shall meet on a quarterly basis. The JAC will:
1. Provide policy direction to the City and Port staff in regards to the XXX;
2. Receive regular briefings and updates regarding implementation of the XXX;
3. Report and make recommendations to Council and Commission respectively;
4. Discuss current issues, topics and proposals involving and affecting the Airport and the City;
5. Receive and review all LOAs pertaining to minor amendments to the XXX; and
6. Review and recommend all major amendments to the XXX prior to the Council and Commission action.
JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. Both parties agree that the principles of Article 3.1 are an important recognition of the value and quality of the professional staff of the District. It is also agreed that both parties to the Agreement benefit when communications between the parties are increased to a level that mutual understanding of each other’s needs and desires are reached. Lastly, it is agreed that the totality of the quality of education is served when the parties mutually investigate, discuss, and exchange ideas, and that a need exists to enhance and intensify that exchange. Therefore, a standing committee is hereby created and hereinafter referred to as the Joint Advisory Committee. It shall be the purpose of this committee to meet on a regular basis and to provide a forum for discussion, study, and recommendations to appropriate administration or Board level, of those issues that serve the good of the District, the professional staff, and the goals of delivering quality education to the citizens of the District. Recommendations from this committee shall be advisory only and shall not be binding upon the District or the OCEA. The committee shall consist of four (4) teachers selected by the OCEA, one (1) School Board member, one (1) District administrator and one (1) building administrator each from elementary, middle and high school levels. When issues discussed may impact other bargaining units, a representative from the impacted units may be included in the discussion but shall have no voting rights. The chairperson will be selected by the committee. The committee will meet as needed but at least four times during the school year. The chairman will convene the committee at the request of any two members. This committee may be assigned special study problems by the Board or it may investigate or study issues agreed to by the majority of the committee.
JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. A Joint Advisory Committee will be formed consisting of Employer representatives and Business Representatives of the Unions who shall meet as required by the Parties. Such Committee shall have the obligation to advance the objectives of each Agreement as stipulated in the General Purpose Provisions.
JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. (a) There shall be a Joint Advisory Committee established to consider and make ongoing recommendations on all matters related to the effective administration of the group insurance plans applicable to unionized employees. The Committee shall consist of two representatives appointed by the Railway and two representatives of the Union.
(b) The Committee will be responsible for the periodic review of the insurance policies with a view to presenting proposals for change to the Railway or, through the Railway, to the insurance carrier involved.
(c) The Railway retains the right to place the various group insurance plans for bid from time to time, when it is anticipated that a change in carriers would result in lower costs and/or improved administration. The Railway will advise the Joint Advisory Committee of its intention to place an insurance plan for bid, and will report its reasons for selecting or retaining an insurance carrier to the Joint Advisory Committee.
