The work requires strenuous physical exertion for extended periods including walking, climbing, chopping, throwing, lifting, pulling and frequently carrying objects weighing fifty (50) pounds or more. Added for Engine and Tactical Water Tender personnel: All engine and tactical tender personnel shall have passed the “Work Capacity Fitness Test” at the arduous level. The fitness requirement is the ability to negotiate a three (3) mile hike with a 45- pound pack in 45 minutes.
