Common use of Physical or Mental Causes Clause in Contracts

Physical or Mental Causes. Extended health leave due to physical or mental causes not falling within the cumulative sick leave policy shall be granted without pay to administrators upon the recommendation of the Superintendent and upon the approval of the Board. The attending physician shall send separately to the Superintendent a written diagnosis. It is understood that this diagnosis may have to be shared with persons who have a legitimate need to know, but shall be kept confidential by those persons. Such health leave may be considered for renewal annually upon the written stipulations given in the preceding statement. No salary increments shall be recognized for such leave.
