Common use of Physical Safeguards Clause in Contracts

Physical Safeguards. SSA and VA will store the data matched and any data created by the match in an area that is physically and technologically secure from access by unauthorized persons at all times (e.g., door locks, card keys, biometric identifiers, etc.). Only authorized personnel will transport the data matched and any data created by the match. SSA and VA will establish appropriate safeguards for such data, as determined by a risk-based assessment of the circumstances involved.
