Potential Displacement/Bumping Rights. A classified bargaining unit member that receives a layoff notice from their present class may have the right to bump into a lateral or the next lower class in which the unit member has previously worked and in which the unit member has sufficient seniority over others in the class to avoid layoff. The unit member may continue to bump into lower classes in which they have previously worked to avoid layoff. Should the unit member elect to bump into a lower class, their actual assignment, including work site, shall be determined by the District.

  • Displacement Rights Employees covered by this Agreement affected by a University decision to lay off employees shall be allowed to exercise displacement rights. This election must be made by giving notice to the Office of Human Resources within fifteen (15) days of the notice to the employee and Union of the layoff.

  • Technological Displacement The Employer agrees that, whenever possible, no employee shall lose employment because of technological change, utilizing normal turnover of staff to absorb such displaced employees. However, when necessary to reduce staff, it shall be done as outlined in Article 6.01.

  • Tandem Transit Traffic 12.1 As used in this Section, Tandem Transit Traffic is Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on CBB's network, and is transported through Verizon’s Tandem to the subtending End Office or its equivalent of another carrier (CLEC, ILEC other than Verizon, Commercial Mobile Radio Service (CMRS) carrier, or other LEC (“Other Carrier”). Neither the originating nor terminating customer is a Customer of Verizon. Subtending End Offices shall be determined in accordance with and as identified in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG). Switched Exchange Access Service traffic is not Tandem Transit Traffic.

  • Displacement (a) An Employee whose position is eliminated by the Employer or who is displaced in accordance with this Article shall, provided the Employee has not less than 24 months of seniority:

  • STRIKES, LOCKOUTS AND PICKET LINES ‌ The Union agrees that during the life of this Agreement, the Union or its bargaining unit members will not authorize, instigate, aid or engage in any work stoppage, slowdown, sick-out, refusal to work, picketing or strike against the Employer and the Agency, its goods or on its property. The Agency agrees that during the life of this Agreement there will be no lockout.

  • Windstorm or hail This peril does not include loss to the property contained in a building caused by rain, snow, sleet, sand or dust unless the direct force of wind or hail damages the building causing an opening in a roof or wall and the rain, snow, sleet, sand or dust enters through this opening. This peril includes loss to watercraft and their trailers, furnishings, equipment, and outboard engines or motors, only while inside a fully enclosed building.

  • Loop Provisioning Involving Integrated Digital Loop Carriers 2.6.1 Where ONS has requested an Unbundled Loop and BellSouth uses IDLC systems to provide the local service to the End User and BellSouth has a suitable alternate facility available, BellSouth will make such alternative facilities available to ONS. If a suitable alternative facility is not available, then to the extent it is technically feasible, BellSouth will implement one of the following alternative arrangements for ONS (e.g. hairpinning):
