Tandem Transit Traffic definition

Tandem Transit Traffic or “Transit Traffic” means Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on Mpower’s network, and is transported through a BA Tandem to the Central Office of a CLEC, ITC, Commercial Mobile Radio Service (“CMRS”) carrier, or other LEC, that subtends the relevant BA Tandem to which Mpower delivers such traffic. Pursuant to Section 7.2.6, Transit Traffic may also mean Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on BA’s network, and is transported through a Mpower Tandem to the Central Office of a CLEC, ITC, CMRS carrier, or other LEC, that subtends the relevant Mpower Tandem to which BA delivers such traffic. Subtending Central Offices shall be determined in accordance with and as identified in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (“LERG”). Switched Exchange Access Service traffic is not Tandem Transit Traffic.
Tandem Transit Traffic is defined as local traffic originating or terminating on one Party's network that is switched and/or transported by the other Party and delivered to or from the network of a third party. For purposes of this Agreement, Tandem Transit Traffic does not include overflow traffic between the Parties that is routed through a third party tandem provider.
Tandem Transit Traffic or “Transit Traffic” means Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on Level 3’s network, and is transported through a BA Tandem to the Central Office of a CLEC, ITC, Commercial Mobile Radio Service (“CMRS”) carrier, or other LEC, that subtends the relevant BA Tandem to which Level 3 delivers such traffic. Subtending Central Offices shall be determined in accordance with and as identified in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (“LERG”). Switched Exchange Access Service traffic is not Tandem Transit Traffic.

  • CLEC agrees not to route Transit Traffic to a non-CenturyLink Tandem (i.e., double Tandem Transit Traffic) where the NPA-NXX of the number called is rated within CenturyLink’s Tandem serving area, and CLEC shall reimburse CenturyLink for any terminating compensation charged to CenturyLink by a terminating carrier as a result of any such double Tandem Transit Traffic routed by CLEC.

  • Upon receipt of such notice, Onvoy shall immediately stop using Frontier’s Tandem Transit Traffic Service to send any traffic to such Other Carrier until it has provided to Frontier certification that the Other Carrier has removed such billed charges from its bill to Frontier and that the Other Carrier will not bill Frontier for any traffic originated by Onvoy.


More Definitions of Tandem Transit Traffic

Tandem Transit Traffic or “Transit Traffic" means traffic that originates on one party’s network and is transported through a third party’s network and/or Tandem substantially unchanged, and Terminates on another party’s network. Tandem switches and subtending End Office Switches shall be determined in accordance with and as defined in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (“LERG”). Switched Exchange Access Service traffic is not Tandem Transit Traffic, or Transit Traffic. Neither Party will transit a third party’s traffic to the other Party.
Tandem Transit Traffic means any traffic that originates from or terminates on AWS’s network, transits Verizon’s network substantially unchanged, and terminates to or originates from a third carrier’s network, as the case may be. “Transit Traffic Service” provides AWS with the ability to use its connection to a Verizon Tandem for the delivery of calls which originate or terminate with AWS and terminate to or originate from a carrier other than Verizon, such as, a LEC (other than Verizon), or a wireless carrier. In these cases, neither the originating nor terminating Customer is a Customer of Verizon. This service is provided through Verizon’s Tandems.
Tandem Transit Traffic or “Transit Traffic” means Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on NorthPoint’s network, and is transported through a BA Tandem to the Central Office of a CLEC, ITC, Commercial Mobile Radio Service (“CMRS”) carrier, or other LEC, that subtends the relevant BA Tandem to which NorthPoint delivers such traffic. Pursuant to Section 7.2.6, Transit Traffic may also mean Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on BA’s network, and is transported through a NorthPoint Tandem to the Central Office of a CLEC, ITC, CMRS carrier, or other LEC, that subtends the relevant NorthPoint Tandem to which BA delivers such traffic. Subtending Central Offices shall be determined in accordance with and as identified in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (“LERG”). Switched Exchange Access Service traffic is not Tandem Transit Traffic.
Tandem Transit Traffic or “Transit Traffic” means the traffic that is exchanged under the Transient Tandem Service set forth in Verizon’s PSC NY No. 8 Tariff.
Tandem Transit Traffic or “Transit Traffic” means Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on SPRINT’s network, and is transported through a BA Tandem to the Central Office of a CLEC, ITC, Commercial Mobile Radio Service (“CMRS”) carrier, or other LEC, that subtends the relevant BA Tandem to which SPRINT delivers such traffic. Pursuant to Section 4 of Part V, Transit Traffic may also mean Telephone Exchange Service Traffic that originates on BA’s network, and is transported through a SPRINT Tandem to the Central Office of a CLEC, ITC, CMRS carrier, or other LEC, that subtends the relevant SPRINT Tandem to which BA delivers such traffic. Subtending Central Offices shall be determined in accordance with and as identified in the Local

Pursuant to Section 7.2.6, Transit Traffic may also mean Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on BA’s network, and is transported through a Global Tandem to the Central Office of a CLEC, ITC, CMRS carrier, or other LEC, that subtends the relevant Global Tandem to which BA delivers such traffic. Subtending Central Offices shall be determined in accordance with and as identified in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (“LERG”). Switched Exchange Access Service traffic is not Tandem Transit Traffic.
Tandem Transit Traffic or “Transit Traffic” means Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on AT&T’s network (either as a facilities-based carrier or through AT&T’s purchase of unbundled Network Elements), and is transported through a Verizon Tandem to the Central Office of a CLEC, ITC, Commercial Mobile Radio Service (“CMRS”) carrier, or other LEC that subtends the relevant Verizon Tandem to which AT&T delivers such traffic substantially unchanged. In these cases, neither the originating nor terminating Customer is a Customer of Verizon. “Transit Traffic” and “Tandem Transit Traffic” do not include or apply to traffic that is subject to an effective Meet-Point Billing Arrangement.
