Power Factor Design Criteria. Interconnection Customer shall design the Generating Facility to be capable of maintaining a composite power delivery at continuous rated power output at the Point of Interconnection at all power factors over 0.95 leading to 0.95 lagging, unless Transmission Provider has established different requirements that apply to all generators in the Local Balancing Authority on a comparable basis. The Generating Facility shall be capable of continuous dynamic operation throughout the power factor design range as measured at the Point of Interconnection. Such operation shall account for the net effect of all energy production devices on the Interconnection Customer’s side of the Point of Interconnection. Unless demonstrated by study as indicated in Appendix C, the requirements of this Article 9.6.1 shall not apply to wind generators.
