Common use of Pre-Existing Conditions Clause in Contracts

Pre-Existing Conditions. An employee shall not be entitled to long-term disability benefits from this Plan if their total disability resulted from an accident, sickness or mental or nervous disorder with respect to which medical treatment, services or supplies were received in the 90 day period prior to the date of hire unless they have completed 12 consecutive months of service after the date of hire during which time they have not been absent from work due to the aforementioned accident, sickness or mental or nervous disorder with respect to which medical treatment, services or supplies were received. This clause does not apply to present employees who have been continuously employed since April 1, 1987.

Pre-Existing Conditions. This clause does not apply to present employees who have been continuously employed since April 1, 1987.for a period of five years immediately preceding this claim
