Prescribed Drugs or Medications. The City recognizes that Covered Employees may at times have to ingest prescribed drugs or medications. If a Covered Employee takes any drug or medication that a treating physician, pharmacist, or health care professional has informed the employee (orally or on the medication bottle) will interfere with job performance, including driving restrictions or restrictions on the use of Equipment, the employee is required to immediately notify the designated Department representative of those restrictions before performing his/her job functions.
