Common use of PREVAILING BENEFITS Clause in Contracts

PREVAILING BENEFITS. Unless specifically provided for or abridged herein, all wage and economic benefits, specifically authorized by the County Mayor or a Department Director and currently in effect, shall remain in effect under conditions upon which they have previously been granted, provided that any such wage and economic benefit authorized by a Department Director does not conflict with County Policy. Nothing in this article shall prevent the County from making changes in work rules or methods, provided that such changes do not reduce the benefits referred to above or contained in this Agreement.
