For credits and continuing education units to be recognized for lane advancement on the salary schedule, the credits and continuing education units must be germane to the teaching assignment or an anticipated teaching assignment. It is strongly suggested to obtain a written pre- approval from the Curriculum Director prior to taking specific additional coursework or training for lane advancement purposes. A teacher who takes additional training or course work without obtaining pre-approval takes said course work at his or her own risk without guarantee of salary advancement.
