Procedures for Suspension. a) Ordinarily the student shall be given oral or written notice of the charges against him/her, and a fair opportunity to present his/her side of the story. However, in exceptional cases, the chief administrator /designee may suspend a student without affording the student an opportunity for a conference if an emergency situation exists. An emergency situation is defined as a situation determined by the chief administrator or designee to constitute a clear and present danger to the lives, safety or health of students or school personnel.
