Process to Resolve an Impasse. If the parties are unable to reach consensus on a preferred solution and the College President believes not hiring any non-Residential Faculty and a reduction of one or more Residential Faculty in the FSA is necessary, the College President will prepare and submit a written reduction-in-force plan to the Chancellor no later than October 1. At least seven (7) days in advance of the submission of the plan to the Chancellor, the written reduction- in-force plan will be shared with the Residential Faculty in the FSA and the Faculty Senate President. The faculty in the FSA may submit a written statement to the Chancellor related to the proposed reduction plan. If approved by the Chancellor, the plan will go into effect on July 1 of the subsequent fiscal year.
