Professional Dress. Teachers shall be dressed in professional or business attire during their professional responsibilities. On Fridays, teachers shall continue to dress professionally but are allowed to wear blue jeans with black/white or West Ottawa apparel. Blue jeans in poor condition or with holes are not considered professional attire.

Professional Dress. The Association and the Board agree that all staff members have a responsibility to present themselves in a professional manner. It is assumed that they will represent themselves, their school, their professional organizations, and the Board in a manner that would earn and maintain respect and set a proper model for students. It is recognized that dress is a matter of individual taste and style. However, all personnel are encouraged to consider appropriate dress and grooming necessary for a positive influence on their professional performance and the performance of their students.
Professional Dress. You are required to dress in professional attire. You must adhere to the dress code at your assigned school. You represent the University and your attire should not be too casual regardless of what the teachers in the school are allowed to wear.

Business casual attire may include, but is not limited to, the following: • Casual slacks/pants/skirts • Casual shirts or blouses (generally shirts with collars) • Sweaters • Skirts or dresses • Casual shoes (loafers, dockers) As a general rule, the following is not considered business casual or appropriate: • Jeans • Tee shirts (without school logos), tank tops or halter tops • Sweatshirts or sweat pants • Cutoffs or shorts • Gym suits or warm-up suits • Flip flops (shower shoes) • Ripped, stained, soiled clothing or clothing which is too tight or revealing Fridays shall be designated as relaxed dress day when teachers are allowed to wear jeans and school spirit shirts. The exceptions to the above are when a site has designated a day which shall involve a relax dress, a special event, or in the instance where the teacher is engaged in an activity or an assignment in which the wearing of jeans, tee shirts, gym suits, jogging suits or similar attire is appropriate to the activity or class.
Professional Dress. 1. The Board of Education and the Association believe that bargaining unit members shall present a professional appearance in the performance of their contractual duties. Therefore, all bargaining unit members while on duty shall:
a. be physically clean, neat, and well-groomed;
b. dress in a manner reflecting their professional assignment.
2. The above shall be equitably enforced and no bargaining unit member will be subject to discipline except as indicated below:
a. First and second offense -- verbal warning
b. Third and subsequent offenses -- written warning.
