3. Supplemental contracted positions shall be announced and applied for in the same manner as teaching positions. Information included with vacancy notices will include annual postings district-wide for positions currently held by Rule 10 coaches/sponsors. The board will determine the employment of positions currently held by Rule 10 coaches/sponsors. (2018)
4. Generic supplemental contracts of 1%, 2%, and 3% may be added and utilized by Santa Fe Trail administration as needed to address issues and duties not currently covered in the listings of supplemental positions, i.e., after-school at-risk programs.
SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE. 12.01 Every effort shall be made by the Board to post supplemental positions in a timely manner each school year. Bargaining unit members may apply for the supplemental vacancy within ten (10) working days of each posting. If no qualified bargaining unit member applies for the supplemental position, the Board may fill the vacancy with individuals not in the bargaining unit.
12.02 Individuals in the bargaining unit applying for more than two (2) supplemental positions per season/year may have a review by the Superintendent of his/her responsibilities before an additional supplemental position is awarded to the bargaining unit member.
12.03 Longevity will be determined by consecutive years with the district in the position held or in another position in the same sport or activity.
12.04 The Board and Association agree that supplemental contracts expire at the conclusion of the season and/or length of the supplemental contract. No further
12.05 The department head will be paid an additional fifty dollars ($50.00) per person in the department (excluding themselves). All 4th and 5th grade general education teachers assigned to teach more than one core content area shall count proportionally for each of the core content areas that they are responsible for (i.e. English and Social Studies department heads each receive $25.00 for the same general education teacher who teaches both English and Social Studies classes, etc.).
12.06 At the discretion of the building administrator, the Intervention Assistance Team (IAT) coordinator position may be filled by a certified/licensed staff member assigned to that building. If the supplemental is not offered or filled, these duties will then be the obligation of the building administrator.
12.07 Proposals for adding academic club advisor position(s) may follow procedures outlined in Exhibit “E.” Clubs should be in existence for one year under the direction of a certified/licensed staff member prior to proposing the academic club advisor position(s).
12.08 An athletic trainer will be hired by the Board of Education for Fall, Winter, and Spring sports with attendance at events as prudent.
12.09 The supplemental salary schedule in effect in the 2021-2022 school year shall reflect a current base salary of $41,761.98; in 2022-2023 shall reflect a base salary of
SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE. A. The supplemental salary schedule shall affect all contracts for activities or athletic seasons.
B. Placement on the supplemental salary schedule shall be determined by: The salary indicated on the B.A. column for the appropriate years of experience (Step 1 through 10) as listed in the salary schedule, steps 11 through 14 at 1.5018, and steps 15 and beyond at 1.5641 times the percentage listed on the supplemental salary schedule. (The supplemental salary schedule index shall be placed at the beginning of Appendix G)
C. For purposes of this Article, years of experience shall be defined as experience in coaching the sport or coordinating the activity. Years credited shall be those performed in the District and/or as certified by previous school district employers presented to the personnel office prior to Board action to offer the supplemental contract.
X. Xx amount equal to one (1) stipend will be paid to two (2) or more club or class advisors who mutually agree to share an assignment if approved by the building principal and Superintendent/Designee and requested by the parties in writing prior to the Board offering the supplemental contract.
E. No bargaining unit member shall have his/her regular teaching contract non-renewed because of a failure to accept a supplemental duty contract except for music positions that are directly tied to the teaching duties.
F. During the life of this Agreement, the Board may create new or additional positions. Initial salary schedule percentages or stipend determination shall be set by the Board but not until the Association President has been appraised of the pending recommendation and been given a reasonable amount of time to suggest changes to the Superintendent/Designee concerning that proposed recommendation. (See Appendix ‘G' - Supplemental Salary Schedule)
SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE. A. The percentage pay structure for supplemental salaries changed for the 2018-19 school year; some activities have increased in the salary amount, and some activities have decreased in the salary amount. All new Employee’s hired for these positions after the 2017-18 school year will be paid using the Supplemental Salary Schedule below. Any existing Employee who was paid a higher amount based upon the 2017-18 Supplemental Salary Schedule, will continue to receive that amount until the 2021-2022 Supplemental Salary Schedule produces a higher salary amount.

SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE. The supplemental salary schedule attached as Appendix D will be effective for the 2021-2022 school year. Calculations are based on a base teacher salary of $44,100.
SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE. Supplemental Positions
SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE. Vacancies for all supplemental positions shall be posted in a timely manner at all schools for ten (10) days and on website and email. A qualified Mentor teacher shall be given preference for a vacancy in a supplemental position prior to an outside candidate. Compensation for newly-created supplemental contract positions shall be negotiated in a timely fashion regardless of the term of this policy. An "Activity Block Grant" will be established at each building, and each year teachers may petition the principal and the representative faculty council for a portion of the block grant based on the formula available in Appendix II and III of this Contract. Proposals must be submitted no later than the second Friday in August for consideration for the following school year. Activity clubs are awarded on an annual basis, and teachers who wish to continue their club into the next school year must resubmit their proposal to the principal and faculty council for approval. A joint MTA-Administrative committee will be established for the purpose of reviewing supplementals during a negotiations year. Any teacher who resumes a supplemental that was eliminated shall be credited with his/her previous experience and placed at the next step on the supplemental salary schedule.
SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE. When Supplemental Contracts for the following positions are issued by the Tecumseh Local Board of Education, the percentage listed shall be paid based on the Bachelor Degree Base Salary. New employees with prior experience elsewhere, shall have such experience considered in placement on the Supplemental Salary Schedule. People who leave a given program in the Tecumseh Local District and re-enter shall be given credit for prior experience. Employees coaching or advising one sport or activity will not be given credit for that sport or activity when changing to another sport or activity. Experience level will revert to 0 or to the level of previous experience in that activity. SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE. ● The Board reserves the right to determine whether the positions listed should be filled and also to determine whether additional positions should be created. If additional positions are created, the interim pay rate shall be determined by mutual agreement between the Wabaunsee Education Association Executive Committee and the Wabaunsee BOE. Interim pay remains in force until replaced or modified during ensuing negotiations. ● If two or more persons share a supplemental duty, each salary will be prorated according to the existing formula for figuring supplemental salaries. ● Teachers will not be required to work outside the duty day. ● Supplemental duty salaries may be paid: In one lump sum at the conclusion of the duty In two installments, one midway through the duty and the final installment at the conclusion of the duty ● These are duties that are not part of the school day. ● Persons being paid supplemental salary for an activity shall not receive any further reimbursement under this section. ● Salaries are calculated on the cell corresponding to the teacher’s column on the salary schedule and year of performance being multiplied by the appropriate percentage. ● Beginning with the 2022/2023 year, the combined % for cross country, cheer, and wrestling goes into effect.
SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE i. All supplemental contracts are issued in conformity with the applicable provisions of Idaho Code.
ii. The number of activities and the number of coaches/advisors that will be authorized for each activity are outlined in the supplemental salary schedule. If activity enrollment is below the minimum required to safely participate, then the corresponding position on the supplemental salary schedule will not be filled and no contract will be issued.
iii. Building administration may add additional assistant coaches with building discretionary funds at a salary identified in the supplemental salary schedule for the requested position. Building administrators, with the approval of the Superintendent, may add assistants by dividing the total dollar amount available for that activity ensuring equal pay for equal duties.
iv. Extracurricular activities are organized into three tiers identified by the level of contact involved in the activity and/or the level of time commitment involved. All sports will have a minimum of two coaches. If the sport is co-ed, one coach will be male and one will be female.
v. All full-time employees are exempt from overtime as provided in the Fair Labor Standards Act. As such, it is expected that full-time employees may sometimes be required to work beyond the work day which are extensions of regular teaching assignments and are not included as compensated special duty assignments. Specific duties that are assigned as compensated duty outside of the regular school day are subject to the supplemental salary schedule. Supplemental contract days are in addition to the standard contract year and are to be used outside of the standard contract calendar. Full-time employees on a supplemental day contract are expected to work the number of days identified in the supplemental day contract.
