Common use of Professional Meetings and Workshops Clause in Contracts

Professional Meetings and Workshops. To the extent consistent with the operational needs of the Employer, employees will be granted time off with pay, not to exceed their normal work day to attend pre-approved professional meetings and workshops that are “job related”. The Employer may, but is not required to, reimburse the costs associated with these meetings and workshops. Leave under this provision shall not be arbitrarily denied. Should the Employer require the employee to attend, the cost of such training will be paid by the Employer.
