Professional Service. Consultant agrees that all services and work performed under this agreement will be accomplished in a professional manner, in accordance with the accepted standards of Contractor’s profession.

Professional Service. A University faculty member is a "citizen, a member of a learned profession, and an officer of an educational institution," according to the 1940 joint AAUP/AAC Statement of Principles on Academic Freedom and Tenure. After a period of personal growth and development as a teacher and creative scholar, a faculty member may properly be expected to assume increased responsibility, in keeping with the faculty member’s professional interests, for the government of the University, the standards of the faculty member's discipline, and the welfare of the civic community.
Professional Service. The knowledge and skills of the faculty constitute a resource to the community, region, state, and nation in the name of the University. Faculty service to academic units, colleges, the Faculty Senate, the University, and the Chapter provides these skills and abilities for professional and academic accreditation, and University governance and planning. Professionally relevant service in any of these venues, both inside and outside of the institution, shall be an important consideration for granting tenure.

Consultant is being hired by the City due to Consultant’s representation of having the necessary experience required to produce required design documents that meet all specifications and requirements referenced in the bid and contract documents (the “Required Specifications”). City staff may review and provide comment or informal approval of the documents produced by Contractor, but the City staff may not have the experience or capacity to guarantee that the plans produced meet the Required Specifications. By executing this Agreement Consultant is agreeing to be solely responsible for ensuring the professional design documents it produces meets the Required Specifications.
Professional Service. Where a teacher is paid to provide a professional service on an approved professional leave day the teacher will remit to the District the lesser of the daily substitute teacher rate or the stipend received for the service.
Professional Service a) All contract/regular faculty shall provide a full professional service week. This includes participation in required meetings that may occur Monday through Friday on service days.
b) In addition to preparation for and performance of duties relevant to teaching, counseling, library and success center services, and health service nursing (depending on assignment), maintenance and timely submission of student records, and collegial sharing of syllabi with the first-level manager are professional service activities including but not limited to the following: • Maintenance of subject matter competency. • Student advising. • Faculty evaluation. • Participation in faculty evaluation training. • Maintenance of office hours. • Participation in District, school, or area committees and meetings (including hiring committees), as well as functions such as commencement. • Participation in program and curriculum development, student orientation and mentoring, program review and planning, accreditation, professional and staff development, and District promotional activities. • Participation in the development and implementation of Student Learning Outcomes. • Participation in District, school, or area committees and meetings as a CCFA appointee. • Work direction to instructional aides, apprentices, and tutors. • Educational enrichment activities.
c) If commencement falls on a service day, attendance at the annual graduation exercises is part of the contractual obligation of all regular/contract faculty members.
Professional Service. Agency warrants that it will perform all Services under this Agreement with the degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by members of Agency’s profession.
