To be Approved does not mean that Applicant will receive a benefit. An Approved Applicant is eligible to either placed into a SLOT when it becomes available or be provided another available benefit. (See definitions of Enrolled and Enrollment.) Base Load- a Household that uses a fuel source other than electricity for heating. For example, the Household may have a furnace that uses Natural Gas or propane as the heat source. Client- refers to an individual who seeks help with home energy needs from an Operating Organization. Customer- refers to an individual who is a utility customer. Denial / Denied Application- the process of denying an application because the Applicant is ineligible. For example, an Applicant may be above the income level allowed for the HEA program. Enrolled / Enrollee- a status that indicates a Household’s utility account has been assigned to a SLOT, pledge voucher or some other mechanism by which they will receive a benefit. Enrollment- the process of placing Household into a position where they will receive a benefit, i.e., to be enrolled.
