PROGRAM PHASE OUT. 67. To the extent that such matters are within the direct control of CCSF, an incumbent resident covered by this MOU shall not be prevented from completing his/her current residency year because of a decision by the City to reduce the number of residents authorized by the Salary Ordinance in the program or because a program is being “phased out” at the request of the City. The Hospital will give incumbent residents and the Union six (6) months before it phases out a residency program or before it eliminates positions in that program.
