Common use of Prohibition of Dual Coverage Clause in Contracts

Prohibition of Dual Coverage. It is understood that insurance coverage paid for by the District is not to provide double coverage for employees or their families. If an employee or his/her family is covered under another policy, the employee shall elect which coverage he/she wishes to receive and must notify the District of the election. Falsification of information concerning double coverage may result in loss of insurance coverage for the employee and disciplinary action up to and including discharge.
