PROHIBITION OF STRIKES AND LOCKOUTS. 8.01 The Union hereby agrees that neither the Union nor any of the employees forming part of the Bargaining Unit covered by this Agreement shall indirectly authorize, assist, encourage, or in any way engage or participate in strikes of any kind. For the purposes of this Agreement, the term strike shall include a slowdown, sit-down, walkout, interruption, or stoppage of work. If such strike occurs, or if the employee or employees violate the provisions of this article, the Union agrees to immediately and publicly disavow, any sponsorship and/or authorization of such strikes.
