Common use of Promotion to a Position Outside the Bargaining Unit Clause in Contracts

Promotion to a Position Outside the Bargaining Unit. An employee promoted to a position outside the bargaining unit accumulates his seniority during a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the effective date of his promotion. During this period, the employee may return to his position within the bargaining unit. At the end of this period of ninety (90) calendar days, the employee loses his seniority and all rights and advantages provided for in the present agreement. Lists A seniority list for each location shall be revised every three (3) months following the signing of the Collective Agreement and will be posted in the location concerned.
