A confirmed Captain – Fire Prevention will maintain his/her current rank without the necessity to fulfill the educational course criteria. The Fire Chief, at his/her discretion, may allow personnel who do not fulfill the educational course criteria to act in a Captain – Fire Prevention capacity, depending on prevailing necessity. 1. The most senior applicant who fulfills the criteria within the job description will be chosen for the position of Field Trainer subject to Promotions – General.
