Promotions Outside the Bargaining Unit. An employee who accepts promotion to a position outside of the bargaining unit but within the agency, shall have the right to return to a vacant position within the bargaining unit provided such return is not occasioned by a layoff. Promotions Outside the Bargaining Unit. Except in the case of an employee who becomes a member of another union within the plant, any employee transferred or promoted to a position in the plant which is outside the bargaining unit shall be credited for seniority purposes with seniority at the time of his promotion out of the bargaining unit, such credit to remain in effect for a period not to exceed two (2) years. However, the employee shall not accrue seniority credit while outside the bargaining unit.
