Common use of Protection of Subjects Clause in Contracts

Protection of Subjects. Without prejudice to obligations under applicable laws, the contractor shall make appropriate arrangements to eliminate or mitigate any negative consequences to subjects or their families resulting from the conduct of the research under this agreement. Such arrangements shall to the extent feasible include appropriate counseling, medical treatment and financial relief. The contractor furthermore undertakes to protect the confidentiality of the information relating to the possible identification of subjects involved in the research.
