Provincial. (a) A two year leave for Federation business shall be granted without pay to a Teacher who is elected or re-elected for a term of office as a full-time officer of the Federation; or (b) A one year leave for Federation business shall be granted without pay to a Teacher who serves in a full-time capacity as a non-elected officer of the Federation. (c) The leaves referred to in paragraphs (a) and (b) are subject to automatic renewal and may be further extended by the Employer for further periods of two years or one year, respectively. (d) Upon return from a leave the teacher shall be placed in his/her original position in accordance with the right of return in Article 24.
