Common use of Public Board or Commission Leave Clause in Contracts

Public Board or Commission Leave. Bargaining unit members who have been appointed or elected as members of a legally constituted city, county, state, or federal board or commission are entitled to leave with pay when requested to be absent from their employment in order to attend meetings or transact business for those boards or commissions, provided that such services do not hamper the performance of their duties at the College. (No more than two days a month are allowed for such leave without prior approval from the President. Such leave does not accrue.
