Public Office Leave of Absence. An employee with seniority, elected or appointed to an essen- tially full-time Federal, Provincial, or Local public office, may make written application for a leave of absence for the period of his/her first term of active service in such public office. If such leave is granted, additional leaves of absence for service in such office may be granted at the option of management upon written application by the employee. Any employee granted such leave of absence shall be entitled to reinstatement at the then current rate of pay, to such work as he/she may be entitled on the basis of the seniority provisions of this agreement. Seniority rights will continue to accumulate during the period of such leave of absence.
Public Office Leave of Absence a) An employee with seniority, elected or appointed to a full-time federal, provincial or local public office, will receive a leave of absence without pay or benefits for the period of his/her first term of active service in such public office. Additional leaves of absence for service in such office may be granted at the option of management upon written application by the employee.
b) Any employee granted such leave of absence shall be entitled to reinstatement on the completion of the leave at the then current rate of pay to such work as he/she may be entitled on the basis of the seniority provisions of this Agreement. Seniority and pension rights will continue to accumulate during the period of such leave of absence.
c) The employee's request for leave of absence may also include the necessary time to campaign for such office. (Such time is not to exceed six months).
Public Office Leave of Absence. 15.01 An employee with seniority, elected or appointed to a full time Federal, Provincial, or Local public office, may make written application for and be granted a leave of absence for the period of his/her first two (2) terms of active service in such public office. Thereafter, such leave will be at the sole discretion of FTG upon receipt of a written application from the employee.
15.02 Any employee granted such a leave will be reinstated on the basis of the seniority provisions of this agreement at the then current rate of pay for the position they are granted. Seniority will continue to accumulate during the period of such leave of absence.
15.03 The employee’s request for such leave of absence may also include a request to campaign for such office.
Public Office Leave of Absence. 23.01 An employee with seniority, elected or appointed to a full-time Federal, Provincial or Local public office, may make written application for a leave of absence without pay for the period of his/her first term of active service in such public office. If such leave is granted, additional leaves of absence without pay for a subsequent term of service in such office may be granted at the discretion of management upon further written application by the employee.
23.02 Any employee who is granted such leave of absence shall be entitled to reinstatement at the then current rate of pay, to such work as the employee may be entitled on the basis of his/her seniority, qualifications and ability. Seniority, including for the purposes of the Company sponsored Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) enrolment entitlement and employer contribution levels, will continue to accumulate during the period of such leave of absence.
23.03 Upon written request, the Company may grant an employee leave of absence without pay for the purpose of participating in an election campaign for a Federal, Provincial or Local public office in which the employee is the candidate.
Public Office Leave of Absence. 16.01 When elected to federal, provincial or municipal office, the Employer will grant to seniority employees leave of absence without pay or benefits, and without loss of further accumulation of seniority, for one (1) term of office. One (1) further extension of one (1) term may be granted on written application. Employees may continue benefits by making premium payments themselves on a monthly basis. Upon return to work, Employees will be reinstated to benefits according to the Plan.
Public Office Leave of Absence. A teacher shall receive a leave of absence without pay, seniority, or increment to serve in a public office provided such leave is for no less than one (1) year.
Public Office Leave of Absence. The Board will grant a leave of absence without pay or increment to any teacher to campaign for or serve in public office.
Public Office Leave of Absence. A leave of absence—not to exceed four (4) years—shall be granted to any teacher upon application and approval of the Board for the purpose of campaigning for, or serving in, public office. Upon return from such leave, a teacher shall be placed at the same position on the salary schedule as the teacher had upon leaving the district.
Public Office Leave of Absence. 39.01 An employee with seniority, elected or appointed to an essentially full-time Federal, Provincial, or Local public office, may make written application for a leave of absence for the period of their first term of active service in such public office. If such leave is granted, additional leaves of absence for service in such office may be granted at the option of Management upon written application by the employee.
39.02 Any employee granted such leave of absence shall be entitled to reinstatement at the current rate of pay, to such work as they may be entitled on the basis of the seniority provisions of this Agreement. The employee’s request for leave of absence may also include the necessary time to campaign for such office.
Public Office Leave of Absence. (a) An employee with seniority, elected or appointed to an essentially full-time Provincial or Local public office, may make written application for a leave of absence without pay or benefits for the period of their first term of active service in such public office, such leave shall be granted. Additional leaves of absence for office shall be granted by the Company upon written application by the employee.
(b) Any employee granted such leave of absence shall be entitled to reinstatement in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. Such employee will accumulate seniority during such leave of absence. When the employee returns to work he shall displace the most junior employee in the bargaining unit whose job he is qualified to perform, at the applicable job rate, provided he has greater seniority than such most junior employee in the bargaining unit.
(c) The employee's request for leave of absence may also include the necessary time to campaign for such office.
