Common use of Purpose and Mission Clause in Contracts

Purpose and Mission. The purpose of the Fund shall be to: (1) support public policies promoting the interests of the Company and the Union on such subjects as health care, legacy costs, international trade, currency valuation, and other public policy issues of importance to the parties; (2) to contribute to and promote greater cooperation between labor and management; and (3) to assist the Company and Union in solving problems of mutual concern that are not susceptible to resolution through collective bargaining.
