Common use of Purpose of Catastrophic Illness or Injury Clause in Contracts

Purpose of Catastrophic Illness or Injury. The purpose of the Catastrophic Illness or Injury Leave Plan is to permit Unit Members to donate vacation and/or sick leave hours to a Unit Member when the Unit Member is incapacitated by a catastrophic illness or injury that requires the Unit Member to take time off from work for an extended period of time. For purposes of this Article, Catastrophic Illness or Injury Leave will be referred to as “Cal Plan.”
