Purpose of Grievance Procedure. Section 5.0 The Employer and the Union support and subscribe to an orderly method of adjusting grievances. To this end, the Employer and the Union agree that the procedure set forth herein shall serve as the means of the peaceful settlement of all disputes that may arise between them concerning the interpretation or the application of this Agreement. A grievance shall be defined as any dispute which may arise between the Employer and the Union or between the Employer and the employee, concerning the interpretation, application, or alleged violation of any of the terms and conditions of the Agreement.
