Common use of Railroad Operations Clause in Contracts

Railroad Operations. A. The Contractor shall be advised that trains and/or equipment should be expected on any track, at any time, and in either direction. The Contractor shall communicate with the Railroad MTM Representative to improve the Contractor’s understanding of Railroad traffic volume and operation at the Project site. The Contractor’s bid shall be structured assuming intermittent track windows as defined in Section 1.07 C B. All Railroad tracks within and adjacent to the Project site are to be assumed as active and rail traffic over these facilities shall be maintained throughout the Project. Activities may include both through moves and switching moves to local customers. Railroad traffic and operations can occur continuously throughout the day and night on these tracks and shall be maintained at all times as defined herein. The Contractor shall coordinate and schedule the work so that construction activities do not interfere with Railroad's operations. C. Work windows for this Project shall be coordinated with the Agency or Contractor and the Railroad Project Representative and the Railroad MTM Representative. Types of work windows include Conditional Work Windows and Absolute Work Windows, as defined below:
