Common use of Ramp Service Employee Clause in Contracts

Ramp Service Employee. (RSE) is a basic position within the Ramp Service classification. RSEs perform work including, but not limited to: • Scanning and sorting; bag room activity of moving baggage from baggage sortation system piers and carousels; execution of loading plans; and loading, stowing, unloading and transfer of baggage, mail, and cargo. • Operating automotive and other ramp equipment including the performance of user checks on ground service equipment; • RSE functions related to the receipt and dispatch of scheduled arrivals and scheduled departures of aircraft on the ramp. • In the absence of assigned Specialty or Lead positions at a Location, qualified RSEs may be required to fulfill those functions.
