Classifications and Positions. 1. Each employee is assigned to a classification. Classifications covered by this Agreement may include, but are not limited to: Ramp Service, Lead Ramp Service, and Vehicle Driver. 2. Positions within a classification may be established in 3 categories: basic, Lead or Specialty positions. The basic position is the primary function within a classification. Lead and Specialty positions are dedicated functions or responsibilities that require leadership or special skills closely aligned with the basic position. Each classification and/or position may have a Lead role as determined by the Company. Employees covered by this Agreement may be assigned to perform duties across classification lines and to give instruction and on the job training to employees in the same or other classifications, regardless of the specific position they hold. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Receiving; shipping; checking; inspecting; classifying; issuing; inventorying; storing of supplies, equipment and materials; • Operation of warehousing and distribution equipment, including the driving of vehicles such as trucks, golf carts and lifts; • Preparation and maintenance of required records and reports; • Transfer of parts and materials between locations; • Other storeroom, warehousing and distribution work. b. Lead Storekeeper (LD STK) is a Lead position within the Storekeeper classification as well as a position within the Lead Storekeeper classification. A Lead Storekeeper supports and assists in leading others, planning, coordinating, instructing, training or on the job training, and delegating tasks and assignments within the Storekeeper classification, while also performing Storekeeper work. (i) In designated Locations allocated and authorized by the Company, as part of the LD STK classification and position, employees may be utilized as Designated Station Trainers (DST). DSTs will be selected through the Lead bid process, and interested candidates must meet all qualifications for the DST position as determined by the Company and pass a selection interview. The Company will offer full-time DST openings by Lead Bid seniority to Leads in the pool of qualified candidates who have passed the selection interview process. (i) Lead Customer Service Rep (Lead CSR) is a Lead position within the Customer Service classification. A Lead CSR supports and assists in leading others, planning, coordinating, instructing, training or on the job training, and delegating tasks and assignments within the Customer Service classification, while also performing CSR work. (ii) Specialty Positions Where designated by the Company, Specialty positions within the CSR classification may include but are not limited to: Premium Services,Global Services, United Club, Concierge, Interpreters, Centralized Help Desk, Station Operations Representative, and Aircraft Appearance Coordinators. Positions covered under this Agreement, and brief descriptions of the work performed, may include, but are not limited to, the following: a. Maintenance Instructor (MI) is a basic position within the Maintenance Instructor classification. A Maintenance Instructor shall be an employee classified as a Maintenance Instructor on the effective date of this Agreement and thereafter any employee of the Company hired as a Maintenance Instructor. The work of Maintenance Instructors shall include all work generally recognized as Maintenance Instructors’ work performed by the Company conducting classroom and practical technical training at maintenance bases, line stations, and other facilities including, but not limited to, providing technical knowledge and practical instruction for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft and aircraft systems as related to maintenance according to established procedures. Classifications and Positions. Each nurse shall be paid according to the salary schedule within the appropriate classification. If a nurse is assigned between classifications or works less than full-time in a classification, her salary shall be prorated accordingly.

When the State establishes a new classification, it shall notify the Union and provide the Union a description of the classification or benchmark, the number of positions to be created and the salary range. Notwithstanding the State’s sole and exclusive responsibility for the adoption, modification, and administration of the classification plans by which it evaluates positions, the State agrees that if Union represented positions are reallocated to a newly created classification assigned to a bargaining unit represented by the Union, it will negotiate the procedure by which the affected employees are appointed. 2. The State agrees to provide the Union with a copy of current existing benchmarks, approved by the State Personnel Director, for classifications assigned to the bargaining units. This commitment will not require the State to create benchmarks for classifications. 3. No job classification or position shall be removed from the units by the State Personnel Director during the term of the Settlement without at least ten (10) working days prior notice to the Union which shall include identification of the incumbent, if any, and the reason for the removal. The State Personnel Director’s designee will discuss the removal of the classification or position from the bargaining unit upon the Union’s request. However, the State will meet and discuss with the Union (1) the assignment of a new classification to a unit; and/or (2) the assignment of an existing classification from one unit to another unit with the propriety of an assignment subject to resolution under Article 6 Section F, Step Five, if parties are unable to reach an agreement.
