RAPTURE. Rapture" is a technical theological term for the resur rection of the royal family of God at the end of the church age in which the dead in Xxxxxx shall rise and those who are alive and are His at His coming will also rise to meet the Lord in the air, 1CO 15:51 - 52; 1TH 4:16 - 17; 2TH 2:1 . It is extremely important to understand that the Rapture of the Church is not the second coimng of Xxxxxx. The Rapture occurs before the Tribulational period while the second coming (second Advent) occurs at the end of the Tribulation.
